The Domestic Violence Intervention Center (DVIC) promotes the health and healing of individuals and families affected by domestic violence. To alleviate domestic violence, we believe that an integrated, comprehensive approach which addresses the full scope of the issue is necessary. DVIC works to end domestic violence through Assistance, Accountability, Prevention and Education
Assistance to victims with individual counseling, psycho-educational groups, transitional living, community referrals and material assistance.
Accountability for batterers with court-ordered, psycho-educational groups. To end domestic
violence, we address the root of the issue, batterers, so that more victims are not created.
Prevention with at-risk adolescents by providing psycho-educational groups, individual counseling, multi-family workshops, outreach programs and school-based programs.
Education to the community regarding domestic violence, its impact on our society and how each individual, family, civic organization and agency may decrease the rate of domestic violence.
