Survivors Against Violent Environments (S.A.V.E.) Transitional Living Program

Founded in 1998, S.A.V.E. provides advocacy and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Beth Lowry, Founder and Executive Director, saw the need for transitional living facilities in the greater Nashville area. At the time survivors had few resources to support them s they began a new life free from abuse.

After several years of advocating for survivors and establishing S.A.V.E., Ms.owry retired. Upon her retirement, S.A.V.E. merged with DVIC in November 2006. Both organizations desired to continue providing an important resource for victims of domestic violence - transitional residences that assist them in achieving self-sufficiency and independence as well as keeps families together.

The S.A.V.E. facility is a ten-unit apartment complex that allows survivors the opportunity to regain control of their lives. With supportive services, such as life skills training, individual counseling, case management and material assistance, the S.A.V.E. program facilitates survivors reaching freedom from abuse, self-confidence and healthy lifestyles.
